Catherine Frankl Sarkis, a lawyer and ethicist, is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Health Policy & Health Services Research at the Boston University Goldman School of Dental Medicine and Instructor in the Department of Oral Health Policy & Epidemiology at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. She serves on the Editorial Board of the Journal of the American College of Dentists, and is a member of the ADEA Professional, Ethical, and Legal Issues Section. As one of the authors of the American College of Dentists Ethics Handbook, she has been elected an Honorary Fellow of the College. Professor Sarkis is also a member of the Massachusetts Bar, the American Society of Law, Medicine & Ethics, the Academy for Professionalism in Healthcare, and the American Society for Bioethics & Humanities. She teaches courses in ethics, professionalism, jurisprudence, health law, and risk management.
