Dr. Phyllis L. Beemsterboer is Professor Emeritus and former Associate Dean for Academic Affairs in the School of Dentistry at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon. She also served as an associate director in the Center for Ethics in Health Care at OHSU and was a faculty member in General Internal Medicine in the School of Medicine. She is active in the American Society for Dental Ethics and serves in several roles in the organization. Author of three textbooks in dental hygiene, Phyllis consults on the topics of curriculum, accreditation and bioethics and was elected to the American College of Dentists as an honorary member in 2010.
